Guyanese born Aubrey Wharton immigrated to the U.S in 1968. He attended Hunter College and graduated with a BA degree in English with emphasis on Creative Writing. He was an active member of the Frank Silvera Writers' workshop for several years and during this time he wrote several plays, most notably A different lifestyle and Vietnam Blues which were produced off off-Broadway. An avid practitioner of bhakti yoga, he became a disciple of A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada a renowned teacher in this science.

Aubrey has a passion for writing inspirational fiction that encourages spiritual growth, and it is his commitment to write in this genre that has inspired his present novel, Ezekiel's Awakening Into Light.
